Unexpected news for the New Year......
Well I was at first happy to see 2008 go. We have had kida a rocky December with Tim getting laid off from his job and his mom being sick. Last week we received some news we were not prepared for. My dad got sick and thought he had pneumonia so he went to the doctor. Sure enough he did no surprise but the doctor thought he had a blood clot in his lung so he sent him for a chest scan. It was not a blood clot it was cancer. My dad was then diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has spread and is spreading fast. Prognoses not good. They are saying how fast it is spreading we could have 3 to 6 months. I just thought my friends should know what is going on and to say a little prayer for our family. I may use blogging as an outlet it seems to help and to keep people informed about what is going on. Dad has an appointment tomorrow morning and hopefully some of our questions will be answered. In the mean time we will live day to day and see what happens.

Painting Fun
Tim and I are remodeling our family room in the basement. Wow this project has been going on for almost a year. At first so excited to tear things apart then it's like yikes do we have to put it back together. Well we or should I say "I" am at the painting part. My favorite! Here are some pictures of the faux painting I did. This was done with 4 colors of paint and the woolie tool. So much fun! These pictures don't do it justice but you can kind of get the idea. Keep in mind no trim and crown molding up yet so still looks very unfinished. Oh ya and hopefully the more I paint the better I will get at not getting it on the carpet. Yep that's right I ruined it! Thank goodness for huge area rugs!

My most favorite picture ever....
Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year at my(Dottie) mom and dads. Tim and his dad showed up from Billings that morning just in time to watch the Thanksgiving parade. I thought that would be fun for the kiddo's. (Carter and Paige) Well I watched most of the parade and the kids ran around like chickens with there heads cut off. Great plan. Anyway the day went good spent most of the day figuring out where we were going to shop on black Friday...Yep that's right we are crazy 4 am shoppers. Moms cooking was great like always and we all ate too much like always and after we were stuffed and bloated we decided to take pictures all in all they turned out pretty good!
